Company Audits
The Group's audit service and similar work is undertaken by Craufurd Hale Audit Services Limited ("Craufurd Hale Audit"). Increasingly, funders, government, suppliers and even customers and Clients are seeking to place reliance on the financial accounts of any business or organisation before deciding whether to use, or to continue to use their sevices. For businesses of a certain size, having an audit report can play an important role in providing the reassurance necessary.
Whilst much of audit work is dictated by statute and audit regulations, we try to humanise the process and seek to add as much value to any business as we can, especially by working in harmony with Craufurd Hale LLP where practical.
Audits are compulsory for certain companies and limited liability partnerships by virtue of their business activities, regardless of their size and whether or not they are part of a larger group. However, even companies, LLPs or groups that might otherwise be eligible for exemption from audit can benefit from having one.
Obtaining an independent review of a business’s internal controls can help avoid fraud, reduce wastage and allow owners and managers to focus on driving the business forward, while at the same time also providing reassurance for stakeholders in the business, whether they be shareholders, owners, workers or funders.
Depending on their size, charitable companies can also be subject to audit.
