A distinguishing feature of our payroll bureau service, which differentiates us from many other bureaux, is our BACS bureau status. This means that once approval is granted by your bank, we can connect and make BACS payments direct from your business bank account to your employees, whether they are paid weekly, fortnightly or monthly without the need for you to raise cheques or make online payments. We can also make payments to HMRC on your behalf, maximising the permitted credit period before the PAYE and NI has to be paid.
The use of “myEpay window”, a cloud-based secure portal allows your employees to download their payslips and P60s without the need for paper documents, and they can update their own bank and address details if either of these changes. And as an employer, you have access to electronic copies and to the payroll reports we produce.
Payroll software licences and updates are all handled by us removing administration time. Using our bureau facility removes the need for someone in your organisation to run the payroll and this not only reduces costs significantly, it also enhances security and confidentiality.

Auto Enrolment
Auto enrolment is an integral part of the payroll process now, with a legal requirement for employers to enrol qualifying workers automatically into a workplace pension scheme. Usually, contributions vary as earnings change and utilising a bureau removes the risk of this being missed and ensures the correct rules and regulations are adhered to at all times.
We can advise on the choice of scheme provider, provide briefing sessions for your staff and also set up the scheme with your chosen provider.
The Craufurd Hale LLP Auto Enrolment offering falls into three service levels depending on your budget:
- pension contributions are calculated by us and provided to you to extract and upload the premiums to the relevant pension scheme;
- a CSV file is produced and provided by us so that you can directly upload the contribution file to your pension scheme provider; or
- we will handle the enrtolment of new members, process opt-outs and submit contributuions to the pension provider every month on your behalf.
